Alhaji Sani Danladi, the Acting Governor of Taraba State, on Wednesday denied that he held talks with the All Progressives Congress with the intent to defect to the party and become its governorship candidate in 2015 general elections.
Danladi told newsmen in Jalingo through his Senior Special Adviser, Sylvanus Giwa, that the rumour was the handiwork of mischief makers.
He said such rumour peddlers were trying to cause confusion because of their discontent over his recent reinstatement as the Acting Governor of the state by the Supreme Court.
Danladi advised that rumour peddlers must desist from such act, stressing that anyone found wanting would be prosecuted.
He, however, said his government was open to constructive criticism that would move the state forward.
