These were the Bayelsa State Government, led by the Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (rtd.); the Niger Delta Development Commission, led by its Acting Managing Director, Ibim Semenitari; the Shell Petroleum Development Company, led by Evans Krukrubo; and Setraco, the construction company, led by its Managing Director, Fayez Khalaf.

“We’re pleased to support efforts towards increasing gas supply for manufacturers and power plants,” said Toyin Olagunju, General Manager Projects, SPDC. “We’re also pleased that the project was delivered in record time – 14 months from initiation to first gas – within budget and most importantly, safely. We acknowledge the support of NAPIMS and other JV partners, without which the milestone would not have been possible.”

He said the Bureau was ready to work with institutions, companies and organizations that have established archives.
Onayele emphasized that Lagos, being a forward looking state, is the only state in the Federation that has deemed it necessary to have a permanent repository designated for both records and archives

Reacting to the awards, the Managing Director of SPDC and Country Chair, Shell Companies in Nigeria, Osagie Okunbor, said: “While the SERAs and other awards encourage us and our Partners on our CSR programmes, the real encouragement for us are the lives that have been transformed through these initiatives, which is why we will continue to implement the programmes as part of our business in Nigeria.”
