Former Super Eagles’ goalkeeper’s trainer, Ike Shorunmu has parted ways with Nigeria Professional League strugglers, Ikorodu United.
Shorunmu, in telephone chat confirmed that decision to quit the Lagos-based club was on mutual agreement.
His words: “Ikorodu United is a great side but it is unfortunate that they are being faced with this precarious situation.
“I actually enjoyed my stay at the club but it’s not worth it allowing the club to keep paying my salary while they are heading for the Nigeria National League next season.”
It can be recalled that Shorunmu joined the Oga Boys with dutch coach Theodorus Jacob de Jong and former Julius Berger FC defender Shakiru Giwa in June this year.
