Claudio Ranieri has called Ahmed Musa “a fighter” after praising the goalscorer’s display in Leicester’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.
The Nigerian frontman opened his Foxes account against the Eagles in impressive style as he fired home from the edge of the box.
And Ranieri says he has seen the summer signing from CSKA Moscow show a better understanding of the requirements of English football since he was taken out of the line-up.
“He played as I wanted him to do,” said Ranieri.
“Maybe now he understands better the Premier League. I understand because if he doesn’t play it is difficult to understand the Premier League but I watch during training and it is a different Musa from the beginning.
“Now he is a fighter. When he loses the ball he doesn’t stop. He continues fast and thinks very quickly and that is why today he started the match.”
