The popular Awolowo Way in Lagos State was on Thursday flooded, with pedestrians and motorists struggling to find their way through.
According to one commercial motorist, who simply identified himself as Ipa, the flood was as a result of the lack of proper drainage system in the area.
Ipa also lamented the fact that despite the numerous taxes and levies the bus drivers are been charged, there is nothing to show for it.
While lamenting the fact that a state that is preparing to celebrate 50 years of existence, issues like this should not be coming up.
The Eagle Online reports that the flood led to huge traffic around the area and this also affected the fares that was paid by commuters.
