The remains of the Chairman of CFAO Nigeria Limited, Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas, has been laid to rest.
Okoya-Thomas was buried on Friday at the Vaults and Gardens on Victoria Island after three days celebration of life in Lagos.
The final journey home had kicked off on Wednesday with an evening of tributes and service of songs at the Trinity House, Zion Centre, Water Corporation Road, off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island,Lagos.
The wake-keep took place on Thursday at the Landmark Event Centre, also in Victoria Island.
The interment was on Friday.
It began with a lying-in-state from the late billionaire’s Lagos home.
There was a long procession to the Holy Cathedral on Catholic Mission Street, Lagos for the funeral mass.
After the interment at the Vaults and Gardens, Tafawa Balewa Square, which was the venue of the reception, was filled to the brim with eminent Nigerians who came to pay their last respect to the late accomplished industrialist.
Okoya-Thomas died on February 2 at the age of 79 after a brief illness.
