Several persons are feared killed following a bomb attack on the St. Charles Catholic Church, Sabon Gari, Kano.
The explosion occurred after the mass on Sunday.
Though the police said only five persons were killed, information from the church has it that the casualty figure was far higher.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, confirmed the development.
Mba said the suspicion was that an Improvised Explosive Device was used.
Mba said it was “probably an IED thrown from across the street”.
This will not be the first time the church would be attacked.
