Manchester City defender, Bacary Sagna, has been fined £40,000 (about N20 million) by the Football Association in England after posting “10 against 12” on Instagram following a match.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the 33-year-old France international made the remark after his side’s 2-1 Premier League win over Burnley on January 2.
City was reduced to 10 men in the 32nd minute of the match when referee Lee Mason sent off midfielder Fernandinho.
The FA said the post, which was later deleted, “questioned the integrity of the match official”.
Sagna has also been warned about his future conduct.
NAN reports that City have not ruled out the possibility of appealing against the severity of the fine.
