Kelechi Iheanacho could be handed his full Nigeria debut as the latest stage of his meteoric development.
The Manchester City young gun was called by Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh, as a late addition to the squad to face Swaziland in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday.
And the Nigeria boss says the youngster, who has broken through into the Blues’ first-team squad this season, could feature if he excels on the training field.
“If he is in better form he will start the game. That’s as far as I’m concerned,” said Oliseh.
“If he proves to be in better form than the other players in his position, he will start the game, I can tell you that.”
Iheanacho is champing at the bit after scoring twice for far for City this season, against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and then again in the Capital one Cup.
