Jite Eschareghara, the mother of two boys, Michael and Raphael Eschareghara, who were stolen by their housemaid, Juliet, six days after she was employed, has revealed how they were rescued.
Eschareghara said her boys were dumped in front of Shagamu Police Station in Ogun State.
It will be recalled that Michael and Raphael were kidnapped by Juliet, 24, a house maid their parents had just employed.
She made away with the kids while the couple was not at home.
Speaking on the issue, the woman said: “We thank God that my children are still alive.
“It was on Thursday, around 2pm, that we got a call.
“The caller said we should come to Shagamu Police Station to identify whether the children dumped in front of the station were ours.
“Before 4pm, we arrived.
“Many people, who gathered, narrated how two men on motorcycle dumped the children at that spot and immediately zoomed off.
“We identified them and Police released the kids to us.”
The happy mother disclosed that the younger one, Michael, who is a year old, was weak, pale and looking sickly.
“The elder, Raphael told her that ‘Auntie Juliet’ fed them BoBo drink.”
She noted that the kids still wore the same clothes they had on the same they were kidnapped.
She added: “We took them to the clinic, for medical examination.
“We wanted to know their state of health.
“It was from there we proceeded to the church for thanksgiving to God.”
Lagos State police spokesman, Kenneth Nwosu, said that the kids were rescued by policemen attached to Shagamu Police Station in Ogun State.
Nwosu however added that investigation into the abduction of the kids had not stopped.
