Federation Cup: Prime shock Rangers in Ibadan

The group stage of this year’s edition of the Federation Cup recorded two major stunning results as the competition maintains its tradition.

In Ibadan, the highly rated Rangers International FC of Enugu was beaten by a lone goal by Prime Football Club of Osogbo, Osun State, inside the Lekan Salami Stadium.

In Lagos, inside the refurbished Agege Stadium, El-Kanemi Warriors defeated another Premier League side, Kwara United, by a lone goal.
Thompson Ezekiel gave Coach Kelechi Emeteole’s side the match winner in the 20th minute as Kwara United failed to level the score till the final whistle.
Heartland secured a lone goal win over Plateau United inside the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.
In a related development, the management of Warri Wolves refused to send the team to Bauchi center over security concerns.
Also, another team billed to play at Bauchi Centre, Samba FC, was yet to arrive the venue, leaving Enyimba and Lobi Stars as the two sides on ground in Bauchi.
