A Lagos-based royal father, Dr Cyril Osuala Aromneze, Eze Ojiofor
Ndigbo N’Lagos, has called on the Igbo in Nigeria and Diaspora to
cooperate with their fellow citizens to ensure rapid development,
peace and harmony.
This, according to him, is the only way the country can to move forward.
Speaking after the election of executives of Igbo Community in Lagos
State, Anomneze emphasised that cooperation was imperative because no
nation could make any meaningful progress if the people were not
united.
At the election, Chief Ebere Ubani was retuned unopposed as
president-general of the community.
Anomneze, who is the national patron, Igbo Speaking Community in
Lagos, also tasked his people on peaceful coexistence with their host
community.
He said: “You should also pray for your parents and families, because
prayer is the key to open the door of success.”
At the election, Ubani, a retired Assistant Police Commissioner and
now an oil magnate, was returned as president-general while Chief
Sunday Udeh was elected deputy president-general, other executive
members for another four-year term.
Ubani pledged to be fair and just.
He also promised to carry members along in his all-inclusive administration.
The president-general said he would finish the projects embarked upon
during his first term.
