A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has lost his son, Hamza, in a car crash.
Hamza died on the morning of Tuesday in Abuja.
El-Rufai broke the news on his Facebook page at about 8am.
He wrote: “From Allah we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son, Hamza El-Rufai, who died this morning in a motor accident in Abuja.”
In accordance with Islamic injunctions, the late Hamza is expected to be buried on Tuesday.
El-Rufai had before lost two daughters.
One of them, Yasmine, died in her London apartment in 2011.
The other, Zainab, died this year.
