The Copyright Society of Nigeria, led by Tony Okoroji, has made all arrangements to pay royalties to few Nigerian artistes following the usage of their songs by some organisations.
Available information reaching The Eagle Online revealed that a meeting between COSON and its members will take place on December 16 at the Oranmiyan Hall of Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, after which the distribution of royalties will begin.
This would be the fourth time the body will be paying some amount of money to Nigerian artistes since its inception in 2010.
COSON, it was learnt, has been battling with some organisations who use intellectual materials of its members without paying royalties.
Some of the organisations have been dragged to court over the issue.
