In one of the results of the remaining states being expected in weekend’s presidential election, the All Progressives Congress candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, has defeated the incumbent and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
Buhari garnered 657,678 votes, leaving Jonathan a distant second with 149,222 votes.
Some of the results showed that in Agwara LGA, the APC scored 8,236 and PDP 4,970; Borgu LGA, APC had 31,223 while PDP finished with 4,471; and in Kontagora LGA, APC won with 44,853, while the PDP got 3,853.
The result was presented by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer in Niger State, Prof. Abdulganiy Ambali.
