The Court of Appeal has upheld the election of Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Akpabio, who stood for the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, was dragged to the Court of Appeal by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Inibehe Okori.
This was after the Akwa Ibom State Elections Petitions Tribunal dismissed the case filed against Akpabio by Okori for the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District election on March 28, 2015.
