Five of the 19 officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army missing in the battle against Boko Haram after an ambush at Guro Gongon in Borno State on July 20, 2016 have been found.
This was after concerted efforts were initiated to search for and rescue them.
The measures include the use of air assets, Special Forces and patrols.
One of those found was said to be the unit’s Commanding Officer.
A statement by the Nigerian Army on Saturday said although the officers and soldiers are in stable condition, they have been moved to the medical facilities of the Army for care.
