There was a mild drama at the screening by the Senate of Ambassadorial nominees on Tuesday as two of them failed to recite the National Anthem and Pledge properly.
The nominees were Alhaji Ibrahim Bida from Niger State, who is currently serving in Turkey, and Vivian Nwunaku Okeke from Anambra State.
Both of them were unable to recite the National Anthem properly.
When the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, asked Okeke to recite the National Anthem, she mixed it up.
Also, when Sunmonu asked Bida to recite the National Pledge, he mixed it up too.
The entire eight-man Committee burst into laughter at this stage.
It took the intervention of Senator James Manager to complete the anthem for Bida.
