You’re an ingrate, Bayelsa PDP tells Jonathan’s expelled aide

The Peoples Democratic Party in Bayelsa State has described the Special Assistant to outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic

Affairs, Waripomowei Dudufa, as an ingrate, despite the party’s contribution to his political growth.

Expressing dismay over his conduct, which led to his expulsion from the Party, the PDP in a statement issued on Thursday in Yenagoa by its

Publicity Secretary, Osom Jacob Markbere said Dudafa is not in a position to determine what goes on in the party, especially with

regards to who flies the party’s flag in the 2016 governorship election.

The party described his actions as the height of ingratitude for a young man who came into politics after serving his mandatory one year

National Youth Service Corps programme in Yenagoa and without any working experience, became a member of the state House of Assembly in

2003, Commissioner of Local Government in 2007 and Special Assistant to the President on Domestic Affairs in 2012, through the magnanimity

and grace of the party leaders at the various times.

Having benefited so much from the party, the statement noted with dismay and disbelief that such personality could work against the

interest of the party.

The party queried: “Where was Dudafa when the founding fathers were toiling day and night to build PDP in the State? Where was Dudafa when

the present administration was re-writing the history of governance in the state? Where was Dudafa when the present administration was

transforming the state?”

Dudafa was described as not only a failed politician, but a failed contractor.

He was said to have been awarded a contract worth millions of naira by the present administration, but failed to deliver.

The statement added: “It is sad to note that, as an aide to the former President, Mr. Goodluck Jonathan, he worked against the interest of

the PDP during the last House of Assembly election by sponsoring an APGA candidate in his constituency; Kolokuma/Opokuma constituency II.

“His activities during the election could be likened to that of the Biblical Judas Iscariot.

And, instead of burying his head in shame, Dudafa is still going around making unnecessary statements about the present administration

in the state.

“Instead of dissipating his energy on unnecessary things, Dudafa should gather his likes and form a formidable opposition, under APGA,

which he supported and worked for, during the State House of Assembly

polls, to challenge the present administration in 2016.”
