We recovered 5,000 rounds of ammunition, arms from Boko Haram – JTF

The Joint Task Force said it has recovered over 5,000 rounds of ammunition and some arms from a storage facility allegedly owned by dreaded sect, Boko Haram.
The JTF, said the storage facility, located in Damaturu, Yobe State, was discovered during a cordon and search operation.
The JTF’s spokesperson in Yobe State, Lieutenant Eli Lazarus, said the discovery of the storage facility was made on Monday.
Lazarus, in a statement on Monday, said: “At about 9am Mon 26 Nov 2012, men of the Joint Task Force (JTF) on cordon and search operation in Kandahar area of Damaturu the Yobe State Capital recovered five thousand two hundred and seven (5,207) rounds of ammunition, one (1) rifle, two (2) pistols, three (3) grenades and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from a suspected Boko Haram Terrorists arm store….
“Also, residents that have knowledge of any hidden arms and ammunition should report to security agents for further action. Any useful information would be rewarded accordingly.”
