The Super Falcons of Nigeria are to play the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the semi-final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON 2024).

This followed the victory of South Africa over Senegal in their  quarter-final match, which ended in the favour of the Banyana Banyana on Saturday.

The South Africans defeated the Senegalese 4-1 via penalties.

Nigeria had on Friday crushed Zambia’s Copper Queens 5-0 to set up a date with the South Africans on Tuesday at 5pm Nigeria time.

The match will be played at the Stade Larbi Zaouli, Casablanca, Morocco.

The last time the Super Falcons and Banyana Banyana met was at the 2022 edition, also in Morocco.

The South Africans were victorious with a 2-1 win.

Nigeria has so far won its four games at the WAFCON, scoring eight goals and conceding none.
