The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, is billed to inaugurate the 5th Board of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday (today).
This was confirmed by a source at the commission, who asked not to be named as he has no permission to speak.
The source confirmed that the inauguration is scheduled to hold by 3pm.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu had on January 10, 2024 appointed three full time Commissioners and six Zonal Representatives into the Board of NAHCON.

Tinubu had earlier in October last year approved the appointment of Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the apex Hajj regulatory body in Nigeria in acting capacity.
Arabi and other members of the Board were however confirmed by the Senate last week in Abuja.
The Commissioners appointed are: Aliu Abdulrazaq, Commissioner, Policy, Personnel and Finance; Prince Anofi Elegushi, Commissioner, Operations; and Professor Abubakar A. Yagawal, Commissioner, Planning and Research.
