Super Eagles of Nigeria and Napoli FC of Italy forward, Victor Osimhen, made a surprise appearance at the home and area where he grew up in Lagos State.
The surprise visit of the goal merchant was confirmed by several photographs and video on the social media.
Osimhen, who guided Napoli to their first Serie A title in more than three decades, contributing 26 goals and four assists from his 32 appearances, was also a part of the Super Eagles team that just qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be played in 2024.
He was received by a large crowd of enthusiastic followers at his former home in Olusosun area of Ojota in Lagos State.
Among places he visited was Olusosun Primary School, where the students trooped out enthusiastically to receive him.
The 24-year-old striker, who is now sought after by several clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain, is said to be worth over £100 million, though Napoli bought him for €80 million back in 2020.
