The University of Ilorin in Kwara State has announced resumption dates for fresh and returning students for the 2013/2014 academic session.
A statement signed by the University’s Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, said fresh students will resume on September 28.
Akogun also said that returning students, who have been on holidays since the end of June, are expected on campus on October 5.
He said the admission exercise for the new academic session was almost completed, adding that it would be ready before resumption.
The statement added that registration exercise for new intakes would commence immediately.
Akogun urged both fresh and returning students to visit the university’s website for instructions on the registration procedure.
Lecturers of the university did not join the ongoing strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
The lecturers had not joined any ASUU strike since 2003 as the union had been polarised in the university.
