Uduaghan condoles with NAN MD over mother’s death

NAN:  Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta on Sunday in Asaba condoled the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ima Niboro, on the death his mother, Deaconess Agnes Ukeseh.

A statement by Felix Ofou, Uduaghan’s Press Secretary, said the governor in his condolence message told the former Presidential spokesman he shared in his pains over his late mother’s demise.

“I know the pains of losing a beloved mother. I therefore know what you are passing through. You should be rest assured that my family and the entire‎ Delta State are with you in this moment of grief,’’ the statement said.

It quoted the governor as saying further: “The state is delighted with Niboro’s appointment as MD of NAN after his tenure as Media Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan.

“It is a vote of confidence by the number one citizen of the country.

“To have served as Adviser to the President and be subsequently appointed MD of NAN is a vote of confidence and, as a state, we are proud knowing that Niboro is a worthy son of Delta.

“That is why we associate with him at this moment of grief and always.’’

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor then prayed God to grant the Niboro family the fortitude to bear the loss.

The governor also prayed for repose for the soul of the deceased.
