Nigeria’s Under-23 National Team, popularly known as Dream Team VI, on Saturday played a 0-0 draw with Algeria in the final Group B match of the ongoing Nations Cup in Senegal.
The result meant Nigeria finished second in the group behind Algeria and head into the semi-final to play hosts, Senegal.
With five points each in the kitty, Algeria stayed above Nigeria in the group standing with goals difference.
With this standing, Algeria will face South Africa, who finished as runners-up in Group A, in the other semi-final.
Only the top three teams will get automatic tickets to represent Africa at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
The fourth team will head into a play-off to seek a ticket for the Olympic games.
