Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong, on Tuesday said he was elated to rejoin his Bursaspor’s teammates in training ahead of the new Turkish Super Light season.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Troost-Ekong was part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where the team failed to make it beyond the group stages.
He featured in all of Super Eagles’ three games in the tournament.
“First training with the boys; feels good to be back!” Troost-Ekong wrote on his Twitter handle.
The 24-year-old made 27 league appearances for Bursaspor last season and hit the back of the net twice.
Bursaspor will open their campaign in the 2018/2019 season with an away game against Fenerbache on August 11.
