Bursaspor have terminated their contract with their out-of-favour left back, Taye Taiwo.
The Green Crocodiles released a statement on their official website confirming the news.
The statement reads: “Our club have reached an agreement with Taye Taiwo to mutually terminate his contract.”
Taiwo, who has not made an appearance for Bursaspor this season, joined the Turkish Super League side in July 2013.
The left back, born on April 16, 1985, has previously played for Olympique Marseille, AC Milan, Queens Park Rangers and Dinamo Kiev.
Taiwo made a total of 27 appearances for Bursaspor since joining.
Taiwo has also been capped 54 times by Nigeria and scored five goals for the national team.
Bursaspor currently sit in fourth place in the Turkish Super Lig, with 47 points in 28 games.
The Green Crocodiles take on Kasımpaşa this weekend.
