Task force recovers 1,849 livestock from rustlers in Kebbi

The Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Samaila Yombe, has commended the Joint Task Force Against Cattle Rustling for the recovery of 1,849 livestock.
Yombe gave the commendation in Bena, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of the state on Monday when he inspected the recovered livestock.
They included cattle, camels, goats, sheep and donkeys.
Yombe called on the people of the area to provide useful information that would assist the task force in the recovery of livestock and arrest of suspects for prosecution.
The deputy governor restated the resolve of the state government to bring to an end cattle rustling, especially in the dense forest in the southern part of the state.
The military commander of the joint task force, Captain Emmanuel Maimalari, said the livestock were recovered with the support of members of the vigilance group in the area.
