While lamenting the 7.5% usage of family planning contraceptives in the state for both traditional and modern methods, the Executive Director, Niger state Primary Health Care Development Agency, NSPHCDA, Dr Ahmed Dangana said at a three day Media workshop field reporting trip on Advanced Family Planning organized by Pathfinder International in Minna that out of 100 women, only about seven access the service.

Speaking during the formal launch of the GenU initiative in Abuja on Monday, 26th July 2021, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Airtel Nigeria, Segun Ogunsanya, who was represented by the company’s Vice President, Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, Emeka Oparah, said the initiative aligns with the telco’s philosophy of connecting, empowering and helping young Nigerians to become more productive and empowered to solve some of the most pressing problems affecting the country.

Speaking at a sensitization advocacy programme organised for Food Handlers and Health Teachers in the Lagos Central Senatorial District in  Surulere on  Thursday, Permanent Secretary Office of Environmental Services, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources,  Aderonke Odeneye said that the programme is aimed at eradicating malnutrition in Lagos State. 

Vanessa Phala, the ILO Country Director for Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Liaison Office for ECOWAS shared this concern during the inaugural National Children’s Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour (NCCECL) themed “Act Now: End Child Labour” at the Reiz Continental Hotel, in Abuja on Wednesday, June 16 2021.
