The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Monday said the organisation has opened talks with critical stakeholders on MTN’s labour issues.
Danbatta, who was represented by Haru Alhassan, the Director, New Media and Information Security of NCC, said this in Abuja at the Nigeria Internet Governance Forum 2018.
Danbatta disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja at the 84thedition of Telecom Consumer Parliament.
Danbatta said this at a public inquiry on the transfer of licence and resources, including 800MHz spectrum from Visafone Communications Limited to MTN Nigeria held at the NCC headquarters Abuja.
Prof. Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the commission, said this at the 95th Edition of Consumers Outreach Programme in Dutse on Friday.
Danbatta disclosed this when the President of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria, Olusola Teniola, led his team to visit the NCC headquarters in Abuja.
The NCC Executive Vice-Chairman, Prof. Umar Danbatta, made this known at a stakeholders’ forum on “Development of Framework for National Roaming and Active Infrastructure Sharing in Nigeria’’ held at Digital Bridge Institute, Lagos.
He said that a preferred bidder for 9mobile had emerged with the full participation of NCC, adding that the bidder was already undergoing financial evaluation.
Danbatta said this on Tuesday in Abuja during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between NCC and Central Bank of Nigeria.
