The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Command, has appealed to truck owners to ensure their tyres are in good condition before embarking on journeys to reduce mishaps, particularly during the ember months.

According to the taskforce, the villages were cleared as part of the state government’s commitment and effort to safeguard the lives of its citizenry and beautify the state.
The Sector Commander, Paul Okpe, said this in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Agnes Ogungbemi, in Osogbo.
Jonathan Owoade, FRSC Sector Commander in Kwara, said in a statement said that the accident occurred on Ilorin-Bode Saadu road in Olokonla community.
Mr Kazeem Muhammed-Yahya, the State Coordinator of SON, disclosed this while destroying the products in Gonin Gora area of Kaduna.
The defendant, of no fixed address, is being tried on a three-count charge of conspiracy, damage to property and stealing.
Supervising the destruction in Enugu, Obinna Manafa, the Director, Inspectorate and Compliance Directorate of SON, said that the destruction was to prevent access of such tyres into the markets and homes.
