The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has reacted to the call by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) on President Bola Tinubu to probe the $15bn and N200bn missing oil revenues, insisting that the President must suspend the top management team of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) for effective investigation.

SERAP in a press release signed Sunday by its Deputy Director, Kokawole Oluwadare also urged him to “withdraw the Circular number FPR/DIR/PUB/CIR/007/076 of 20 June 2023 mandating banks and other financial institutions to implement and comply with the unlawful mandatory provisions on customers’ social media handles in the CBN Regulations.”

SERAP urges  Malpass to reopen a discussion on the reportedly approved $800m loan with the incoming administration to clarify the details on the rationale and use of the loan because the term of office of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari ends in May 2023.
