This was just as mark congratulated four House of Representatives members elected as flag bearers of the party in his Benue South Senatorial District
Senator Mark, in a condolence message to the Government and people of Ogun State, described the late Ashiru as a diplomat per excellence who promoted and indeed implemented Nigeria’s foreign policy across the globe
Mark added: “We discussed extensively with the service chiefs and we have noted the challenges and progress made by them in fighting insurgency.”
Already, Speaker Aminu Tambuwal and Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State have appealed to Mark to tamper justice with mercy and forgive Hon. Abdul Malik Usman Cheche (PDP-Niger), who assaulted him on the floor of the House on Thursday
The feeling in the House is that Mark sold out the Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, in his face-off with the Presidency over his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress
The closure was sequel to the taking over of the complex by security operatives earlier in the day and the prevention of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal from entering to complex to preside over a special session of the House
