Benue State governor Dr. Gabriel Suswam unequivocally announced Tuesday that there is no vacancy for the Benue South Senatorial seat presently occupied by the President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, saying “Our decision to return him to the Senate in 2015 is irrevocable”.

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark Monday cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop spreading an alleged plot to postpone the 2015 general election as doing so will amount to expanding the frontiers of falsehood and doing a disservice to Nigerians.

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has mourned the death of the Nigerian Civil war hero, Brig. Gen. Benjamin Adekunle (rtd) describing him as one Nigerian who fought vehemently to keep the nation as a united and indivisible country.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Housing and Urban Planning, Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim (APC-Yobe), while presenting the report, said that funding for construction of the proposed houses should be sourced from the Federation Account and Ecological Fund

The letter reads: “I contested and got elected into the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in April 2011 under the Action Congress of Nigeria. The said political party sometimes merged with other registered political parties and now registered and known as the All Progressives Congress
