The Peoples Democratic Party in the South West has described the purported indictment of a former Governor of Osun State and National Secretary of the PDP, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, by a panel set up by the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbeola-led Action Congress of Nigeria government in the state as “cheap blackmail and cover up plot that won’t work.”

The Change Advocacy Party and its candidate, Dr. Imoro Kubor, had gone to court to contest the suitability of Dickson standing for the election, saying the governor was not the flag bearer of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party

Oni, who spoke at the enlarged caucus meeting of the party in the zone on Saturday, said with the performance of the party in the October 20, 2012 gubernatorial election in Ondo State, it had become obvious that the PDP holds the future of the South West

So far, Mimiko has received 218,874 votes while the Action Congress of Nigeria’s Barrister Rotimi Akeredolu is in a distant second position with 119,983 votes and Barrister Olusola Oke of the Peoples Democratic Party garnering 117,113 votes
