The Peoples Democratic Party in the South West has commiserated with the government and people of Oyo State as well as the Action Congress of Nigeria over the death of former Governor of the state, Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina, describing the death as a loss to the state.
In a release signed by the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Kayode Babade, the PDP prayed that the Almighty Allah will give the family of Lam Adesina, the people and government of Oyo State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Babade said in the statement: “We commiserate with the entire Adesina family, the people and government of Oyo State as well as all members of the ACN party on the death of His Excellency, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina.
“Lam Adesina’s death though painful is another reminder of the inevitability of death as the end of all mortals and it is our prayer that the Almighty Allah will console his family, friends and associates.
“May his soul rest in peace.”
