No fewer than 5,929 flood victims in Bayelsa and Delta recently benefited from food items and other relief materials donated by the Nigerian Army, a statement has said.
The General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Maj.-Gen. Jamil Sarham, presented the items on Saturday.
The Brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Captain Kayode Owolabi, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Calabar.
The Brigade Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Basil Adoke, disclosed this at a reception organised by the state government as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary.
