An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s star witness on Monday said he received several telephone calls from different people asking him to change the statement he made with the anti-graft agency against Gabriel Suswam, former Governor of Benue State.
When the matter was called, the lead prosecuting counsel, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), told the court that the matter was for continuation of trial, but that although the witness was in court, he had malaria.
But the court was informed that Oklobia could not be at Wednesday’s proceeding because he was in Kuje Prison on a remand ordered on Monday by another high court in Abuja
