Joshua, who defends his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles against Oleksandr Usyk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, has been promoted by Hearn since turning professional eight years ago.

The WBO, WBA (Super) and IBF champion takes on Usyk later this month at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and is hopeful he can fight Fury next.

Joshua had seemed on course for a blockbuster all-British showdown against Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia in August but the bout was scuppered when a United States arbitrator ordered the WBC champion to take on Deontay Wilder again.

Carty, who boxes out of the southpaw stance, is expected to ‘emulate Oleksandr Usyk’ throughout Joshua’s training camp, after joining up with AJ’s team following his successful professional boxing debut last month.

Joshua’s fight against the dangerous Ukranian has not been officially announced but a deal is expected shortly, with Hearn still in dialogue with Usyk’s team K2 Promotions, but he revealed that “all the terms are agreed” with just a few small details to be thrashed out

The 31-year-old Brit was expected to unify his WBA, WBO and IBF belts with WBC champion Tyson Fury 30-0-1 (21) in Saudi Arabia on August 14.
