The President’s request according to Senior Special Asssistant (Press) to the President of the Senate Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, was contained in a letter dated 27th January, 2022, and read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan at the start of plenary.
NERC made this confirmation in its Key Operational and Financial Data of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) for January 2019 to September 2021, obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
NERC, which is the regulator of Nigeria’s electricity sector, also approved N93.76 billion for Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) to upgrade infrastructure across its network within the same period.
