The Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan gave the assurance at a news briefing on the update of the ongoing 2022 Hajj operation, on Thursday in Abuja.

The State’s Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, made the pledge in a statement issued Monday, stating that government would also meet with the NAHCON officials and Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Hassan stated this while delivering a lecture entitled: “‘Hajj operations in Nigeria and the Challenges for the Muslim Ummah,” Wednesday, in Abuja.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the commission, Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan, gave the task during a meeting with the chief executive officers of the state organisations at the Hajj House Wednesday in Abuja.
The State’s Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, made the pledge when the members of the board of NAHCON led by its Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan, paid him a courtesy call at Alausa, Ikeja Wednesday.
Chairman of the board, Professor Sayed Hamza Malik, made the disclosure on Friday in a statement, saying that the decision to refund the intending pilgrims was reached after a June 22, 2021 meeting between chief executive officers of States’ Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards and officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), in Abuja.

Speaking at a news conference on Sunday in Kano ahead of the launch of the scheme in Kano, the state coordinator, Dr Aliyu Tanko said it will also help create employment opportunities for Nigerians.
