The defendant, Oluwatimilehin Ajayi, was accused of killing and dismembering the body of Adaidu, who was said to be his girlfriend.

Makama was appointed to the High Court of Justice in Nasarawa State on December 29, 2023. He died on Tuesday.

The accused was arraigned on a two-count charge of fraudulently procuring two under-aged children (five years and seven years respectively) from their parents in Zanzo Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Justice James Abundaga, in his judgement on Wednesday, said the court found Yakubu guilty of culpable homicide punishable by death, based on his confessional statement.
