Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has restated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force and other law enforcement agencies to the protection and enforcement of the fundamental rights of the citizens, particularly their rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association amongst others as enshrined in Chapter Four of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended)

Abubakar was said to have directed Police field commanders to step up tight security measures in all strategic locations and vulnerable points and further strengthen security at entry and exit points of the FCT, airport and highways as well as city roads, hotels and the conference venue

Abubakar noted that much as the Force is not ignorant of the fundamental rights of the citizens such as the rights to freedom of speech, it will not condone any such provocative, divisive and inciting comments that are clearly uncorroborated by any fact or evidential proof

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, the IGP noted that security agents have relentlessly worked round the clock with significant success to stave off such attacks on the Federal Capital and the entire country at large

The syndicate, which has its operational base at the UTC Shopping Complex, Area 10 Garki, Abuja, specializes in forging documents such as: WAEC Certificates, University Degrees, NYSC Discharge Certificates, assorted land documents and certificates of incorporation
