The official bulletin of the university obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Lagos said the approval was given by the appointments and promotions committee
The information was contained in a statement by the Registrar of LASU, Akinwunmi Lewis, in Lagos on Wednesday

The bulletin said the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, suspended the student in line with the powers conferred on him by Section 28 of the Law establishing the institution
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Aderibigbe, of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, graduated as the best student with a Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate of 4.68
The university said indiscriminate parking of vehicles along roads and other unauthorised places within campus remained prohibited.
The bulletin said the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, took the decision on behalf of the university authority.
According to him, a standing committee, headed by Prof. Rafiu Okunneye, had been inaugurated to ensure smooth take-off of the school.
NAN reports that the students were suspended for organising the association’s award night on February 11 at which a female student, Omolara Gbadeyan, took ill and later died.
