The Lagos State University has announced the appointment of Prof. Adewale Noah as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic.
Noah emerged after an election.
Noah, of the Faculty of Education in the university, polled 75 votes to beat his opponent, Prof. Senapon Bak’re of the Faculty of Science, who garnered 29 votes.
The deputy vice-chancellor, whose appointment took effect from August 25, will be in office for a term of two years.
Two votes were voided in a poll by the University Senate, according to a statement.
Bak’re had served in that capacity during the tenure of Prof. John Obafunwa as the Vice-Chancellor.
