In the FoI request issued by HEDA and signed by its Chairman, Olanrewaju Suraju, the Resource Centre said the report will aid the investigations by civil society into the issues arising from the said elections, same being an issue of national interest.

I must note that till date, not a single formal complaint on this matter has been received by the Commission.

After weeks of investigation, this could be the week when the Commission finally releases its findings into allegations that the Kano State Local Government election, conducted by the State Independent Electoral Commission using INEC’s register, was marred by underage voting.
