The state’s Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, gave the assurance on Wednesday while receiving the Project T-MAX team, led by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari on Education Intervention,  Fela Bank-Olemoh.

The training covers eight skills areas, and they include Information and Communication Technology; Electrical/Electronic Technology; Industrial Automation and Mechatronics; Instrumentation and Process Control; Mechanical Services and Maintenance; Mobile Phone Repairs and Troubleshooting; Residential Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Maintenance and Building Technology.

The Federal Government has adopted strategies to generate 20 million jobs in the agriculture, construction, transport and the services sectors in its second term, Okechukwu Enelamah, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, has said.

Otuwarikpo said such trainings included partnership with the National Industrial Skills Development Programme, training 1,000 Nigerians in every state of the federation

Addressing an ITF delegation that was in Abakiliki to fashion out details of such partnership, the Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government, Prof. Bernard Ifeanyi Odoh, said it was this need that informed the State Executive Council last year to approve a skills programme tagged: “Street to Skills,” which is targeted at equipping street traders from the State with new skills set
