According to her, “After my investiture as Net Ambassador in the state in 2013, I ensured that each family in the state collected two treated mosquito nets. A malaria infested society or person cannot produce at an optimum level. Therefore, the higher the malaria prevalence, the lower the productivity of an individual or a society. And, this is not good for our society.”
Ajimobi stated this during a town hall sensitization meeting on shea butter production with the representatives of Shea butter producers in Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo local Governments held at Saki West Secretariat recently
This, Ajimobi declared, was part of the state government’s efforts at restructuring and re-engineering the state’s public service for enhanced productivity and increased revenue generation
Obafunmiso and Ogunkunle said the association dissociated its members from any group or association that might have instigated the students to embark on the ugly incident
Some of them, who spoke with NAN, under condition of anonymity, said they were in schools based on the directive by the State Government that schools should re-open on Monday.

The 17 affected schools are Baptist Secondary School; Senior Junior School, Oke Ado; Ansarudeen Secondary School, Liberty Road; Ansarudeen High School, Liberty Road; Ibadan Grammar School; and Senior and Junior School, Molete
The Chairman of the NLC in the state, Waheed Olojede, told newsmen in Ibadan that government failed to meet the terms of agreement with the labour leadership
The statement added: “Today’s incident whereby some students and members of the public were once again coerced by labour to disrupt school sessions and engage in an unwarranted public protests and wanton destruction of property is highly condemnable
He urged the Forum to ensure that Muslims that have access to Zakat fund and other items are the poor and are managed in a sustainable way so that the benefits can be adequately rewarded by God.

The statement said: “We urge labour leaders to embrace dialogue and consultation instead of issuing threats and ultimatum of strike.
“As stakeholders they should brainstorm on how to bail the state out of its financial predicament.”
Olojede said the unions had considered the prevailing condition of workers and pensioners with five months unpaid salaries and the failure of government to accede to previous requests
Ajimobi said the newly appointed transition committee chairmen have only four months to stay in office before the council election would be conducted
The House of Assembly had screened and cleared the last batch of the chairmen nominees on Friday, February 26, thus paving the way for today’s inauguration
