It was the first time Bishop Akinola has preached a sermon since he handed over to Archbishop Nicolas Okoh on March 25, 2010. On hand to receive him were the Most Reverend Dr. Humphrey Bamisebi Olumakaiye, Archbishop, Ecclesiastical of Province of Lagos and Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, from the ancient town of Idanre and the Provost of the Cathedral, the Very Reverend Adebola Ojofeitimi, from Omofe, Ilesha, Osun State.
